This will fit just about any truck with a radiator surround but is designed for Peterbilts and uses the original, five mounting holes. This is the complete kit and contains the two, complete, stainless steel head lights, both left and right side, A four LED AMBER/CLEAR marker light on the top face, 34 CLEAR HALO eye LED's inside, the HID conversion kit and polished aluminum brackets. These lights are quality made at an affordable price. They are polished to a mirror finish and are easy to install. These light kits are made by United Pacific Industries and are really beautiful components and compliment your exterior. This has to be the first way to dress up your truck. Everyone has the rectangle headlights on their Pete. These are nice and do a great job.....but the older round ones seem to define the "big truck" as we know it. The older lights may have looked good but were inefficient in projecting light. The incandescent lights were unable to produce a bright enough beam to safely illuminate the road ahead. There was no light diffusion to the sides leaving dark areas. And, no options when it came to replacement lenses. Now, all this has changed with the addition of HID light technology. What are HID's? Glad you asked. The same basic sealed beam incandescent bulb headlights that illuminated the roads ahead of us for years are still standard equipment for big trucks. These headlights were simple and they served the trucking industry for half a century. Eighteen years ago, lighting technology took a leap forward with the invention of "high intensity discharge" (HID) headlights. In the USA, they first appeared on the 1991 BMW 7 series. Traditional automotive bulbs are either made of tungsten or halogen, both of which rely on a superheated filament for illumination. On the other hand, the bluish tint you see on HID-equipped vehicles is from a lighting technology that uses no filament whatsoever. HID bulbs create light much like a mercury vapor lamp: a high-pressure gas is excited between high-voltage electrodes. The bulbs are filled with xenon gas, which is why HID headlights are often referred to as xenon headlights. Now, with the flick of the headlight switch, the xenon gas turns into white-hot plasma light in seconds. A single HID bulb is so bright that it can handle the job of two incandescent filaments. Once illuminated, HID light output is three times that of halogen, and as an added benefit, the ignited gas uses very low voltage, thereby reducing the load on the alternator. The light, now at a “hotter” color temperature than halogen, appears nearly white. The powerful white light makes distant street reflectors and signs highly visible to the driver. HID headlights are only used for the low beam, with a halogen bulb reserved for high beam use. Don't confuse these with the low cost "HID like" light bulbs. You know, the blue or purple ones that attract the DOT's attention. These cheap imitations are not even close. With a brighter light output and a more focused beam, high-intensity headlights are an active safety feature because they help you to avoid accidents before they happen. As an added benefit, deer do not like the visible light spectrum and tend to back away from a vehicle equipped with HID’s. They also last longer. Even if the bulb does burn out (and they can), the modular design allows bulb-only replacement, much like traditional headlight bulbs. And we stock replacement bulbs. You get all this: * Two round stainless steel head lights. * Two CRYSTAL® Glass lenses with 34 CLEAR HALO eyes inside.. * 1-HID conversion kit consisting of 2 bulbs, 2 slim ballast, 2 igniters and all required wiring. * Two stainless steel trim rings with 4 LED turn signals built into the top. * Turn signals are AMBER with AMBER lenses. * Two polished aluminum L shaped light brackets. This "retro" light kit fits the following trucks: PETERBILT's 379, 378, 385, 357 and 359's that utilized the quad rectangle or square single head light assemblies. Other models can use these lights. They attach from the INSIDE and should fit any truck with a radiator surround. These HI/LOW beams have HID\'s on the low beam only. The HI beam is a conventional halogen bulb paired with the HID.
